Hasko acquires UVEDES – leading supplier of UV disinfection systems and spare parts in Sweden
Hasko has acquired UVEDES AB, a leading reseller of UV disinfection systems and spare parts for safe disinfection of drinking and process water in Sweden. The company was founded during the 1990s and has established a strong market position, with stable historical growth and profitability. Revenue in the most recent financial year amounted to approximately SEK 33 million.
UVEDES’ offering consists primarily of units for ultraviolet water treatment, spare parts (lamps, quartz sleeves, etc.), analytical instruments and technical service. The company has distinguished itself by building a unique position in the Swedish market as the leading UV expert, as well as through its strong focus on service and customer satisfaction. This has resulted in customer and supplier relationships that often span several decades. The largest customer groups are small and medium-sized municipalities and larger industrial companies. The company, founded by Jan Haglund more than 30 years ago, is headquartered in Täby outside Stockholm and has six employees.
In connection with the transaction, Sales Manager Johannes Sjöblom, who has more than 10 years’ experience at the company, takes over as new CEO. The current owner remains as an advisor during a transition period. With Hasko as its new owner, UVEDES will continue to broaden its offering to more customers and segments, while focusing on providing the best technical service on the market.
